Word and Character Counter

FAQ
Why is my Chinese text counted differently?
CJK scripts have no spaces between words, so each character counts as one word. Latin text is split on whitespace and punctuation instead.
Which reading speed is assumed?
About 200 words per minute for Latin text and 300 characters per minute for CJK; the estimate follows whichever kind dominates your text.
